oh ladieeeeeees

I was doing a bit of surfing as I was trying to find out the name of the women's shelter in Herat as I was hoping to make a donation. I came across this cool site. It has interesting articles and information for and about women. They had some facts I did not know about...for instance,

"Researchers have found that only 2.7 percent of sampled news stories focused on women on weekdays and 3 percent focused on women on Sunday."

We make up a lot more of the population than that. Go check it out and be informed.

Ok so I'm new to this whole blog thing.. but if I comment to your comment, will you get an email saying I wrote you back or something? Help!

And about the bags... I just got the idea one day... went out and bought a pattern, followed it, and started selling:) I have a 'real' job though still (boo!)

Well those statistics stink! I love reading about women. In fact, most of the blogs I read are by women. And most of my readers are women. So what am I doing right? :)

hazel jane - thanks so much, that is pretty cool...hopefully i can muster up some courage to just go for it...

lu - too cool...sometimes i think that i would like to come help you...whaddaya think? intern kels?

dan - umm i am sure every guy loves to read about women but do they really value what we have to say. i know you do and T does too but i still think we have a ways to go as far as our voices being equal to mens. but idiots like paris hilton and other embarrassing females are not helping the cause.

oh yeah, i would love to have you! but seriously, what i do most days is boring. i love it, but not nearly as exciting as the exciting bits that i tell you. sitting at an office, staring at excel, calling people and calling people and calling people who never answer their phones...

and i would agree with you that it is only superficial if we value the blogs of women, we need women having input in all levels of decisions, publishing work that is valued by academia, world leaders, and the business world, and more support in breaking all the stereotypes and expectations that you and i and others try to break everyday.

and those are my unsolicited 2 cents! and just more to talk about over breakfast. yay!
